     After a unit on world hunger and global trade, freshman students created a 'Monopoly'-style game to demonstrate the links among the loss of family farms in the US, the global consolidation of agriculture, & the impacts on world hunger.

  • explaining how international trade patterns affect different regions
  • researching and documenting important public issues
  • understanding relationships between economic and social systems
