Powerful, effective instruction requires content that is integrated, rigorous, and relevant to students' lives and communities.

To meet this challenge, our Content in Context programs help teachers design curriculum "makeovers" that present standards within the community-, environmental-, and cultural contexts that shape students' lives.

Programs show how knowledge is constructed and connected across disciplines, and how to build this understanding in students through powerful instruction. Teachers gain knowledge, resources, and skills to improve achievement through best practices in content and pedagogy.

Introductory programs are half- to full-day workshops built around our content areas.
Customized programs combine content instruction, unit design, and effective pedagogy as determined by client's goals. These programs, designed for schools interested in substantial instructional improvement, use our model of on-site professional development, on-going support, evaluation, and peer-driven replication. Perfect for professional learning communities!
