Services for Non-profit and Governmental Organizations

Creative Change Educational Solutions works with non-profit organizations and local governments to turn their content into innovative curricula, courses, and training programs for youth or adults. With our expertise in instructional design, curricula, and training, we offer nonprofit organizations the opportunity to develop high-quality educational materials from research or content that might otherwise be inaccessible to a general audience.

Collaboration is key to the success of this work. As a nonprofit itself, Creative Change can serve as a partner or lead agency on grant proposals submitted in partnership with research- or policy organizations, or local governmental agencies. Contact us to explore ways to work together.

Examples of our Partnerships with Non-profits & Governmental Organizations:

We are working with the sustainability think-tank Redefining Progress to develop a teacher education program based on Ecological Footprint research. For this project, Creative Change is designing a training module that introduces teachers to Ecological Footprint research, and adapting RP's research into accessible handouts, factsheets, and instructional tools. A key element of this project is designing an instructional sequence that allows people unfamiliar with the Ecological Footprint to gain an understanding of its individual, national, and global implications; as well as the links among population, consumption, and technology. The resources from this project will be disseminated through the Redefining Progress website in late 2005.

We are working with the Washtenaw County Department of Planning and Environment to turn their land use plan into a high school course and teacher education program. In this project, Creative Change is adapting the book-length land use plan into a series of dynamic classroom lessons, and developing a training module to prepare teachers to deliver the materials. Through these outcomes, the Comprehensive Plan--a blueprint for sustainability in Washtenaw County--will become a tool for educating both adults and youth on these issues. Click here to read more about the project, called "Lessons in Leadership: Land Use and Decision-Making in Washtenaw County."

Our mission is to provide and promote innovative education that helps create a sustainable world: a healthy environment, a fair economy, and a just and equitable society for future generations.
